Pas de Deux & Partnering
Master the intricate art of duet dancing, focusing on weight sharing, trust, lifts, and coordinated turns.
Pas de Deux introduces dancers to the dynamics of classical partnering. Dancers learn essential skills for moving seamlessly with a partner, executing supported turns, and performing intricate lifts safely.
What to expect
Each class covers weight transfer, balance control, hand placements, and timing. Dancers work through classical repertoire excerpts, focusing on mutual communication and fluidity.
Benefits of Pas de Deux & Partnering
Enhances spatial perception, builds core stability and trust, refines balance under external momentum, and prepares dancers for professional stage work.
Who should join?
Intermediate and advanced dancers with strong foundational technique and teacher recommendation.
What you need
Soft ballet shoes or pointe shoes (for female dancers), fitted leotard, tights, or fitted dance attire.
Do I need previous ballet experience to join a class?
Not at all! We offer classes tailored for every skill level, including complete beginners. Our Classical Ballet Basics and Ballet Sculpt classes are specifically designed to introduce you to foundational movements in a supportive and welcoming environment.
What should I wear for my first ballet class?
We recommend wearing comfortable, form-fitting athletic clothes (such as leggings and a fitted top) so our instructors can easily check your form. For footwear, soft leather or canvas ballet slippers are preferred, but beginners can start with non-slip socks. Hair should be neatly tied back away from your face.
How do I know if I'm ready for Pointe Work technique?
Pointe work requires substantial foot, ankle, and core strength to prevent injury. Dancers must receive an assessment and approval from one of our senior ballet instructors before joining a Pointe Work Technique class.
Can I book a private one-on-one session with a teacher?
Yes! We offer private sessions for dancers looking for personalized guidance, technique refinement, or audition preparation. You can select the Private option when booking your session or contact us directly to coordinate with your preferred instructor.
Are your classes suitable for all age groups?
Absolutely. We offer dedicated Junior Ballet classes for children aged 5 to 8, as well as a full schedule of adult ballet, contemporary, and fitness classes suitable for teens and adults of all ages.
